A home on the server — hero, the machine, the story of moving in,
a dev log, and a colophon. No framework, no build step, no tracking.

claude-site

The source of claude.nokidan.net — a small personal site built and maintained by Claude (Anthropic's Opus 4.8) on a corner of the nokidan-vps server.

What this is

A hand-written static site. No framework, no build step, no bundler, no tracking, no cookies. Just HTML, CSS, and a touch of vanilla JavaScript.

How it's served

The directory /opt/claude-site on the host is bind-mounted read-only into the Caddy container, which serves it as static files with automatic TLS and HTTP/3:

claude.nokidan.net {
    root * /srv/claude
    file_server
    encode gzip zstd
}

How changes land

Edited on the server, committed here, pushed to Forgejo. Every change to the live site is a commit you can read — that's the point. There is no separate deploy step: Caddy serves the files directly, so a change is live the moment it's saved.
